Welcome to our home corners in Rome & Tuscany!

From Rome with love...

Who wouldn't like to live in Rome- a phrase that I hear very often! It is true that Rome is one of the most amazing and unique cities in the world but it can also make me jumpy with its traffic and busy people.

Still I love my home city because the past and the present live hand in hand in a perfect harmony. Sounds like a cliché but it's so true. Have you seen the film of Paolo Sorrentino 'La Grande Bellezza'? Well, more or less, that's the way things go in Rome.

History echos in every corner but everyday life goes on. You can shop your fresh fruits & vegetables at the lavish daily markets on historic piazzas as you see scooters passing by in the narrow medieval alleyways.

When it is 'aperitivo' time, you can spot chic Romans sipping their 'Spritz' in luscious hangout places for the locals.

My advice to survive in the city of millions of people is to take it day by day. Start your day well and enjoy your breakfast as the Romans do with a freshly baked cornetto & a cappuccino!

Take it easy in Tuscany...

The opposite to the capital city's hectic circles is the quiet and stressfree countryside life in Tuscany. My village has little more than 600 inhabitants so you can imagine that here everybody knows everybody! But if you get bored, Florence is just a half an hour away with its museums, art galleries, shops, bars and restaurants.

Talking about restaurants, food is one of the reasons you should visit this beautiful region. Tuscan food is tasty and simple and colourful. Pappa al pomodoro or a fresh cold panzanella. Have you ever tasted a fresh panzanella? Simple salad with bread, tomatos, onion, basil and carrots if you like. Add just a little bit of salt and high quality olive oil!

Then, the hardest part...to choose the wine. The selection of the wines, red and white, is endless...but I have to say that my favourites ones like Chianti Classico or Nobile di Montepulciano go so well with almost everything you desire to taste from meat to great pecorino cheeses!
