Watermelon power!

Keep it cool now that the thermometer hits sky high during this week in Sardinia. It is the season for watermelons and I think they are the perfect summer food. Delicious, low in calories, nutrient dense, filled with vitamins A& C and the most important thing of all things, SUPER HYDRATING!
It's wonderful to refresh yourself with and I always keep slices in the fridge for anykind of use - for breakfast, as a snack for the beach or just as a nibble to go with your evening aperitivo!


Here is one of my favourite 5-minute summer sallads:
All you need is:
- sliced watermelon
- feta cheese
- aceto balsamico (only a few drops to decorate with)
- fresh basil for decoration
Cut the melon in cubes and place them in a bowl. Break the feta cheese over the watermelon and finnish with a few drops of aceto balsamico & a basil leaves.

PS. I almost forgot - if you still need to find an other use for watermelon - they also turn out to be great sunglasses!
