Friday fish!

After my wonderful morning run in the mountains I ended up taking a tour down to the harbour of Golfo Aranci (Olbia,Sardinia)...my daily routin by now. I have to admit that I never miss my morning coffee with my good friend Antonio at 'Gente di Mare', the owner of this beautiful seaside restaurant. But it is not only for the breakfast I visit the harbour...it is of course the fresh fish the fishermen bring back early in the morning.

At the end of the seaside walk in Golfo Aranci (Olbia, Sardinia) you will find a little gem called M/P 'Cecilia' -a fish store carrying the same name as the family's fisihing boat. Here you will find a large variety of super fresh delights of the sea - from calamari, scampi. gamberetti to coda di rospo...just to mention a few ones in italian. Looking for the best recipes? Signora Graziella, the sweet owner, will defintely share some great secrets with you on how to cook your fish...I always ask her for the daily recommendations and new recipes as I know she is an amazing cook herself! Run as a family business you will instantly feel like home. After all, in Italy it's all about food & socializing so where ever you go you will definetly make friends with these warm hearted people.

But don't lie in bed too long...you need to be there around 8.00 to get the best catch of the day!
